Je Vais Pas Laisser la Vie te Faire de l’Ombre
C’est toi qui donnes un sens à mes jours,
Moi je te donne ma vie en retour.
Okay so it’s been a while!
On Saturday afternoon we went to the Eiffel tower, but we didn’t go up it, we just took pictures in front of it. That night André gave me fuzzy peaches and a bracelet and a burned CD of this great band Wir Sind Helden. Wow it was sweet! That night I french braided Kim and Jen’s hair. In France!
On Sunday we went to Versailles. I just have no words, it was so big and great and… wow. Outside there was the park with fountains and we ate bananas!
At night we went back to the Eiffel tower, just André and me and Alex and Andreas. (Man I felt so left out without an A name, aha!) It was like something out of a dream, seriously. Wow.
Monday, the Louvre!! So now I’ve seen with my own eyes the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo among others. The Louvre was pretty super! Then we just walked along the streets in Paris, saw the Arc de Triomphe which was cool! We went back to the hotel for a bit after that, and then André and I took a walk in a so cute park! But then he and Andreas had to catch a train, sad! All of us but Mark went shopping after dinner (Mark was sad about his failed cheese sauce) and Alex and I got crepes and they were like heaven!
Yesterday we did some laundry and went to an internet cafe before heading to the airport for our flight to Venice. I saw someone playing a female Taruren in WOW and actually got an emotional pang, how pathetic! When we boarded the plane, they said it’d be delayed for half an hour due to an air traffic controller strike in Italy that had begun two hours ago. Doh!! But we landed on time despite that. We took a bus and a boat to the hostel, where we are staying in the dorms.
Have you ever seen a bunch of 40 year old French women act like third graders on a sleepover? At midnight when you’re trying to sleep? I have. It’s uncool. I was missing Paris quite a bit last night.
But hey, everyday is new! Venice is beautiful! The smell reminds me of Green Bay! It is 33 degrees in the shade, my hair looks like crap!
We took a boat to the mainland this morning after our grand breakfast of: a bun. The little shops everywhere in Venice are so cute, they have a lot of masks and glass. I got pizza for lunch! Yes pizza in Italy it was sweet! Then I got coconut and peach gelato, aahhhh…
In the plaza there were a million and a half pidgeons! We walked so much today, my feet hurt! But it’s all good! I’m looking forward to taking a shower tonight for sure. Until next time!
