Working at the Zoo

Well, working at the zoo was more or less what I expected it to be. I kind of wish there was less standing, but maybe things will be better once I can transfer over to front instead of back in a few weeks. I don’t really know how long I’ll be able to stand working in food services. I’m going to at least aim for three months because that’s not too bad. If I can get some cash experience, maybe I’ll be able to get a job somewhere in South Centre. That’s one thing… I hate that it’s so far away. The mall would be only one bus ride.

But anyway: the zoo. Seriously, there is not a lot to comment on in reference to my first day. I like my co-workers a lot… I spent the day making fries, chicken fingers, poutines, fish sticks, chili fries… etc. Really nothing out of the ordinary. For the most part, nothing so far makes me want to be sick to my stomach (like I’d anticipated). But the smell of the gravy is not so great. I’m sure it tastes alright, though.

My eye feels a bit better from when it was hit with a frisbee. There is still a mark and it still hurts a little when I blink but it is really not too bad. I hope it’s back to normal soon.
