The Zone, You Know; Carbs Are the Enemy
This is a comprehensive list of everything I ate before 5:00 pm today: shortbread cookies (2); glass of orange juice; mini cinnamon buns (3); chocolate chip cookie; small root beer; quarter box of croutons; package of melba toast; several mini Easter eggs.
Okay, I think that’s a pretty good indication that a carb-free diet is simply not an option for me. I live on carbs. Seriously, though, I really need to start eating better. My present diet of snack food is just absurd. My grandmother would be floored if she ever found out just what junk I eat on a regular basis.
I think part of the reason for my recent bout of apathy is that I have nothing big to look forward to. Last year this time I was getting ready for Greece and grad and grade twelve itself was just exciting. Now things are just like… meh. And as for next year, Mount Royal is looking better and better. Today I realized that the only things I’d miss from my SAIT program are my classmates and maybe Tyler’s InDesign class, because that class is fun. That is why there’s no way I’m going back next year…
