We’re Loose Ends of the Night
We are always living in twilight.
Yesterday was a great day, probably the best Saturday I’ve had in a long time.
I started it off by waking up due to the bright sun at about 6:30 am, and thinking, “Haha, no.” So I burrowed under the covers and slept until 9:45. Much better!
I had some options for things to do, but I came to the conclusion that I didn’t want to do any of them and, instead, just chilled out, read New Moon and a Game of Thrones (borrowed from Jen), did some art, and enjoyed the sunshine a lot. (Probably too much. But the sunburn isn’t bad. Or, I’ve had worse.) I really needed a do-nothing day.
After church, a bunch of us went over to Aaron’s house and he made pizzas in his barbecue! We had Super Fantastic Dance Party in his living room where I taught Andy some sweeeet dance moves. Then later we all spent lots of time on the balcony, talking and watching the stars come out. Oh it was so awesome! One thing though, something that seems to come up a lot with Andy and those guys is that engineers are so inept with girls and all… but I still have a hard time seeing it. What’s going against them exactly? Most of the engineers I know are married. Girls want to marry them! Well, moving on, then I listened to Sara playing the guitar and she great, I should practice a lot more so I can play easily like that too. She taught me a strumming pattern!
Great night. So awesome.
Anyways, today I’m reading more of the Twilight series. Sadly, I am quite torn about this. The writing of it is so… so… well, it reads like a fanfic. Make of that what you will. Yet for all the time I spend groaning at the contrived and convenient events of this series, part of me does love it. I’ve come to the conclusion that this is likely a bad time in my life to be reading books in which supernaturally amazing men fall hopelessly in love with a random and average girl. For here I am, not really on the rebound, but surely wanting for some kind of romance. Why do I torture myself by reading about impossible love?
