She Looked Into Your Eyes
And saw what lay beneath.
Don’t try to save yourself,
the circle is complete.
These past two weeks have gone quickly but have been fun. As an overview, the Josh Ritter concert was beautiful, and I transferred my TFSA to people who will hopefully invest my money and make me rich off the stock market. Last Friday was awesome because I had coffee with Lyndsay, lunch with Jared, dinner with my parents, went to a play at Theatre Calgary and then finished off at Zach’s housewarming, where we sang a Horrible duet. Love it!
Sunday was my Harry Potter party which went well. Oh man, it was so much work! But it looked pretty and people had fun, so it was worth it.
The night after that was movie night with Chris and Jen, the first of many I hope, and we watched The Blues Brothers. Is there someone better than Chris to watch that movie with? No!
D&D is going great. Dennis has joined us now and we are presently in the Halls of the Blind, the lamest in-game quest, but luckily Justin has livened (oh, irony!) it up very well. Hope I find my kid soon!
Lastly, and the most exciting, is that I had a feeling months ago that I was on the brink of something, which I think is starting to happen now. I’m in a cool place, listening to RTS academic lectures on the Early Church, studying Acts with Bob and Sheila on Thursdays and co-leading a study on Pauline Theology on Sundays. It’s just waking me up to the joy of learning yet again, and I feel gifted to have the opportunity to be taught by such cool and deep people. (Definitely learning more than I’m teaching on Sunday nights.)
I will shortly be heading to Gull Lake for the weekend, which should be good; I hope it’s not too cold!
