I Cannot Help But Love You

Sometimes I think we take God’s power for granted. Or the fact that he hears Christian prayers for granted. It’s hit me recently, just how lucky I am to have such a foundation. To know that someone huge and omniscient is not only watching out for me in everything I do, but is also always working in my favour.

It sucks how technical enemies show up in people I initially love and admire. And still love, but… my bio teacher is constantly advocating evolution in a way that it comes across as pure fact. “Why does the right lung have three lobes and the left two? I don’t know, that’s just how we were designed, that’s how we evolved!”

She used ‘designed’ and ‘evolved’ in the same bloody sentence. Design. Look at the definitions:

v. de·signed, de·sign·ing, de·signs:

To conceive or fashion in the mind; invent; To formulate a plan for; To plan out in systematic, usually graphic form; To create or contrive for a particular purpose or effect; To have as a goal or purpose; To create or execute in an artistic or highly skilled manner.

Do any of these definitions even come close to what someone would describe evolution as?? Do any of these not define creation? I’m sorry. I didn’t smile authentically for the rest of that class. And that’s bio, so that’s saying something.

The crappy part is that I’m too scared to say anything.

My spiritual enemy is a smiley Care Bear on caffiene that pushes evolution. And I love her to death anyway because I can’t help it.
