All The Difference
Where to begin? Arg. Info pro. Scrap the idea about being done all the assignments. She’s making up new ones off the top of her head now that other people are starting to finish. It’s creepy. That teacher reminds me so much of the student teacher I had in fifth grade. But the last names are different so unless she got married I guess they’re not the same person. Social was alright today. You know, the same old thing: Mr. O’Brien punched me in the hall, I punched him back, he threatens me, I threaten him back, etc. It’s all good.
I was afraid of Mr. Elzinga when I first got him a few weeks ago but now I really like him. It was so funny: We were playing a girls against girls game and my team was one player short so Mr. Elzinga said ‘I’ll be quarterback for this team since none of them can throw.’ It was true, so we were happy. He ends up attempting this strange short throw to Nina but she wasn’t expecting it so she kept running, making it look like he just threw it two meters ahead of himself to no one. It seemed pretty hilarious at the time so I said, ‘Oh, Elzinga, what’s that about none of us being able to throw?’ and he gets this look on his face that just screams, I’ll get you for that, you little slime! He yells ‘hut!’ and pitches the ball at me, but I caught it! It was amazing!
So, here’s one of the conclusions I came to today: Having teachers that you can joke around with is priceless. That, and having teachers you can talk about more serious stuff with. All the teachers that made any positive impact on my life were one of the two.
Anyway, I’m going to the art show in a while. I got this little thingy that said something about me winning an award (?) so I’m not exactly sure.
My brother just spent the last half hour trying to lose a game described as literally impossible to lose. He lost.
And! We’re performing at the Cochrane Canada Day celebration! Holy crap! Now I’m scared. I am totally not going to get to sleep tonight. Too much happened today!
