Napoleon Dynamite
On Sunday I went with Katie to Napoleon Dynamite, and oh my gosh, that was the funniest movie ever! Wow, it was hilarious. It’s funny—when you read the reviews for it on the internet, you can pretty much tell the age of the critic by how they rated it. My parents’ generation thought it was the mother of all lame movies, but anyone under twenty-five admitted to peeing themselves laughing the whole way through. Basically, if you’ve been in high school recently and can laugh at stupid things, I think you’d like it.
Yesterday after yoga I went to Swinton’s with Jen for new paint brushes, and we also went to a scrapbook store to look at the decorative paper. Jen wants it for her birthday… the decorative paper… yes! I will have to remember which ones! Also, I made her a keychain of her favourite emoticon (named Hermin) so she was happy about that.
On the way home, my balloon keychain broke, spewing what kind of looked like cocaine (we found out later that it was corn starch…) so we bought new ones at the dollar store and had a burial ceremony for the old one (and the hair of Jen’s old one) in my back yard. It was truly beautiful.
