Mana Tree

This morning I met up with Veronica on the train, it was so cool! I haven’t seen her in forever it seems. She’s at the U of C dance program now, so that’s awesome.

It kinda seems like nothing’s been going on lately. Nothing unusual happened Monday or Tuesday. Jen came to watch Lost today, so I guess that’s something!

We have this assignment in English… I didn’t know it was possible, but it is definitely more vague than Mrs. Wyvill’s visual essay project in grade twelve! The project is: create a visual and then write a page on it. No topic. Ahhh! I don’t know what to make as my visual and I don’t know what to write about the thing I don’t know about! I have only one idea so far. One. And it’s dorky and slightly lame. But I will probably end up doing it because, let’s face it, I’m dorky and slightly lame. The idea is that I will use acrylic paint (shocker) and paint the huge tree from the Secret of Mana and talk about how when you experience things as a child, they become part of you and later on, the nostalgia of something from your past will leave a residue of pretty deep emotions. And unless one has experienced a certain thing as a child, it will mean nothing to them if they first experience it as an adult. I don’t know if that makes any sense now that it is out of my head, but we’ll see.
