Burning
Augh!!! Okay, so Nick was going to have his birthday party tonight. I was fully intending on going, especially since Kim was going to come also. What did I care that we wouldn’t know anyone else there? Lots of people seemed to be backing out of it, so it was only right to go. Yes, the annual Christmas banquet at my church is happening tonight, but hey, my friends are important so I made this party a priority. I was reluctantly willing to miss the church banquet even though everyone is going and I go every year.
But, too many people backed out of going to Nick’s thing so what does he do? Cancels it! I ask you! Who cancels their own birthday party because only five people are coming? Now I can’t even go to the banquet because tickets have been on sale for weeks, and damned if I can get a ticket for the event that’s happening in like five hours. Ryan was trying to get tickets yesterday and even he couldn’t get any.
I hope this isn’t some retarded desperate plea for sympathy on his part because only five people were coming. Please. My birthday parties have been around five in attendance for the last few years because, in my opinion, birthday parties are the most fun when only your best friends are there, and everyone knows each other. I mean, you can’t even talk to everyone if there are too many people.
I’m not going to lie. I’m pissed. Good thing I’m going over to Kim’s house this evening. It would have been the very worst if I was sitting alone at home while everyone else was having a great time at the Christmas banquet.
