Babysitting References
I was hoping to make Thursday a day of relative productivity, but that sure didn’t happen. I slept in until about 11:00, because that is what we sleep-deprived people do when no alarm is set. Then I played the Sims 2 for several hours. I guess that I should have been working on that report that’s due in technical writing, but I have no motivation to do so.
Anyways, Jennifer called again with another babysitting job, which actually happened this time. I have to say that it was one of the easier babysitting jobs I’ve had. The three Buzan boys were pretty easy back in the day when I used to look after them. They knew me really well, though. Then who else… Sammy’s cousins, cute boys but that babysitting job provided no end to stress! I took them to McDonald’s on foot and the twins were rollerblading and the little one was on his bike… I was a wreck after that one, no lies. The Carter boys, the little one cries and the older one is okay. Geez, have I ever babysat girls? Umm… Shantal. One girl! But last night, yeah, very easy. Good kids. The older boy was at my best age, five, and the younger one was at one of my worst ages, (two or three, I don’t quite remember). You know that age when only their mom knows what they’re trying to say through gibberish like ‘aaan-kahh-loo’ (What?) Oh, but I have to say, kudos to the older kid, who wins the award of, “first child under the age of ten who remembered my name the first time”! He’s better than most adults!
My brother’s on his way to Mexico right now where he’ll be for a week to build houses. I’m interested to hear how he’ll do… he’s kind of lazy.
