The Remedy
The problem: Since quitting dance lessons at the end of grade ten, I have gained about fifteen pounds. This is the consequence of my decision not to replace dance with another physical activity, in combination to my already bad eating habits. I don’t consider myself ‘fat’ or ‘overweight’, though I recognize that if I carry on these patterns, I may become so once I get older and my metabolism slows down.
I will be leaving for Greece in just over seven weeks, and I think I remember hearing that you can safely lose two pounds each week. So if I’m a good girl and stick to my rules, I’ll realistically be able to lose at least ten pounds before I go.
Right, so here are said rules:
- I will by no means starve myself. I like food too much…
- Limit three dollars worth of candy at school per week.
- I will not eat if I am not hungry.
- Limit one Valentine’s day chocolate per day.
- I will not eat after dinner.
- At least ten standard or eight heavy DDR songs per week.
- I will not eat while watching TV.
- Exceptions include: movie nights and Fridays.
And, I think this will work out better if I have some sort of record/accountability thing going on. So presently I weigh 134 lbs. Normally I’d hesitate to say so, but this way I’ll feel more inclined to follow the rules so as to be able to post a lower weight each week. At least… that’s the theory.
