Semester Two
Today was the first day of semester two classes. I think things went well overall. Here are my initial impressions:
- Math class and I are going to have a love/hate relationship. I hate math in general but I love most of the people in my class, and there seems to be one of those traditional ‘class clowns’ mixed in there (I don’t know his name but I get the feeling he will provide some entertainment at the very least). My teacher for that class seems cool. Essentric but not overwhelmingly/annoyingly so.
- Multimedia… I’m really not sure what to expect from this class. I knew a couple of people in it and the teacher seems pretty generic. If it’s anything like all the other computer courses I’ve taken in my life, I will be bored out of my mind. Today we spent way too much time making a layer in Photoshop. I think once we get to individual work, it will start getting interesting.
- My spare is just the most beautiful thing I’ve ever experienced in my entire educational career.
- Bio is going to be the class I look forward to I think. Just judging from the type of people in the class, I’m going to have fun. And Mr. Martin is so… I don’t know, I guess just interesting. I was totally falling asleep at the beginning of the class while filling out the personal data sheets, but when he started the lesson I woke right up. (That may have had something to do with the fact that he was repeatedly banging a two-by-four on the table in front of me, but I doubt it.)
