Jell-O Popsicles
Whenever I have those moderately depressed, wannabe insightful entries, I never talk about what actually has been happening.
Even though I’m pretty sure a hormone imbalance (or something like that) has made me reserved and maybe a bit pissy this week, it’s been a really awesome past few days. Kim’s amazing BBQ was, in fact, amazing despite the weather. We had a great time eating cake and playing pool and DDR and Taboo! We watched the year-end presentation and Jen even made Jell-O popsicles… that’s right, friends… Jell-O popsicles!
A few days later I went to Tim Hortons with Jen where she proceeded to win 0.5(π) of my mind in a game of speed. So basically she just won back her own mind powers… big deal. Still, I don’t like to think that 0.5(π) of my mind will meet the same fate as Kim’s soul, which is also in Jen’s “care”. After Tim Hortons we met up with Steph and Katie and Kaylee to watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It was a fantastic movie, highly enjoyed!
The day after that I went with the same group as before to a ‘good-bye lunch’ for Katie since she’s leaving for Quebec really soon. It was great fun! We decided that after being dipped in pizza sauce and several seasonings, Kim’s soul needed a bath so Jen put it in her glass of water and then wrung it out. We were all wracked with pain and despair when we saw that the writing had faded off from it, so we made a plan! We wrote ‘Kim’s Soul’ back on it with permanent marker this time, and then we laminated it! I have to say it’s the shiniest soul I’ve ever seen. Jen also laminated 0.5(π) of my mind, and apparently is going to use it as a bookmark. So it seems like 0.5(π) of my mind is in good hands… for now.
Yesterday I went to the school for one last time with Kim to get our report cards. Then we got out of that hole for good!! There was a yearbook year-end lunch that Kim and Katie and I went to. It was good—better than last time because I got to sit beside Katie! Ohh! And Katie has a new boyfriend named Kyle C.!!! I almost peed myself!! Kyle!! Haha!! Bad timing for them, though, since she’s leaving for five weeks in… less than twenty-four hours. Holy crap, I’m going to miss Katie so much, just like last summer when Kim left for so long. Ahhh! Why can’t everyone just be boring like me and stay home all summer?!
This morning I went into ATCO to fill out the paperwork like usual. I can’t really tell if this year will be much different than last year. I have a new office, farther away from the center of corp comm but closer to the filing system (oh, God…) Is that good? I have no idea!
Tonight I’m feeling pretty darn grown up ’cause I got invited to the college and career event and I’m going!! Why am I nervous..? I know… like… the first and middle names of everyone who’s gonna be there. Well, I’ll be the youngest one there, that’s for sure. The only one under eighteen I’ll bet.
