Welcome to Azeroth
Lots of tiny updates today…
So, I started in with World of Warcraft and made a lovely Tauren hunter, Kasara. She is the coolest cow I’ve ever had. She’s only level 10 right now but this weekend, the weather will probably be pretty cold so I’ll spend some time toughening her up! (But I can’t play her if it’s raining in WoW-land because she can’t get wet because she’s wearing suede, hahaha!) Soon I’m going to get a pet kitty for her and name him Killer Loki. And it’s going to be sweet. So far I’ve just been on my own but soon I’ll join up with Mike and all the Buzans.
On Tuesday (at least, I think it was Tuesday?), Lite 96 was playing Christmas carols in the morning. I almost went mental. Now, see, I adore Christmas. It’s by far my favourite holiday. But the way they crack it out right after Halloween is absurd. I found out later that the reason for the early-carols was that Lite was broadcasting live on location somewhere, doing Toy Mountain for the kiddies. So, I can overlook that. But still, if I were in charge, Christmas carols would emerge on the radio on December 10th, and not a day before. Because as it is, by the time Christmas day actually arrives, I am so sick of hearing them that I seriously make claws with my hands if I hear one. (Or… to specify… I make claws hearing Jingle Bells or Rudolph, the commercialized non-religious ‘carols’. I can hear God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen a thousand times before I get bored of it.)
That being said though, I think this year I’m going to make an awesome Christmas CD with good songs on it. Excellent…
On Wednesday, it was dark early and snowing like a Makoto Shinkai film. And from my big office window against the lights of downtown, I thought it was pretty gorgeous. But, it was less gorgeous when I had to walk down to meet my mom and then drive home on the same streets as really stupid drivers. Because, friends, cutting people off in traffic when it’s slippery isn’t cool! Something to keep in mind, you know? Oh well…
I want to buy about a thousand sweaters and wear them all to work. Maybe then I won’t be freezing! I’m always so cold at work. Another company moved in across from us and I found out there’s a girl who works for them who’s always cold, too. I’m hoping we can team up and maybe carry out some kind of thermo-stat coup so that I won’t spend my poor mornings shivering!
Ever since November started (and I know quite a few people doing NaNoWriMo), I’ve been kind of thinking about ideas for stories. I really think I could write one if I had a good idea. I’m slowly putting together plot possibilities but so far… I don’t know. Either way, it won’t be a novel-length story. Just a short one. Maybe I can write a series of short stories that all kind of tie into each other somehow. That’d be cool!
