July, July, July!

It never seemed so strange!

Well, I’m pretty glad it’s almost July! Might be kind of a busy month, but I guess we’ll see, won’t we?

Not much happened in June really… frisbee has been excellent and I went out quite a bit with the pals. Like… Aman’s birthday was pretty fun and I saw 300 with the Buzans and… and… went for coffee with Angie and totally felt the baby inside her tummy! Oh man, how amazing is that?

We had that meeting last week regarding the Saturday service so I was at a table with the guys and Megan Beach and Janet Fisher and, score, Awlwyn. Actually I was really happy he was at our table because I think we might be a lot more fervent than some adults about keeping our Saturday nights. I mean, it’s all we’ve ever known. I was really impressed with how levelheaded the boys were being though, giving solid reasons why we should not merge the service with Sunday. Overall I thought the meeting was quite a success. Awlwyn’s inauguration was the next day (we went right after seeing 300 so we were pumped!) and it was good, and ohhh my gosh there were a lot of desserts there!

July, so what’s planned for July? More frisbee, maybe going to Sandy Beach with the boys, the Folk Fest with Kim and Jen, Stampede (which I may or may not go to!) Canada Day fireworks, and my parents are going on a cruise for a week and the Buzans are going too, so that gives me a bit of time to catch up on WoW. But I’m only four or five levels behind so it’s not as bad as last time with Kasara when I was always like seven levels behind, heh!

I think by now I’ve stopped thinking about time in regards to how long I’ve been back from Europe. It’s crazy how fast things got back to normal. But… one bad thing about July is that I have to cover phones at work for the next two weeks. Eew! What was that, a -7 on Colette’s Happiness Scale? Ouch. But once that’s over, it will only be about two and a half weeks until AndrĂ© comes here from Germany, which will be probably the best thing ever.

Right now I’m reading The Other Boleyn Girl (borrowing it from Jen’s massive library) and I really love it. Historical novel about king Henry VIII’s second wife Anne Boleyn. I’m almost finished it… then I might follow in my brother’s footsteps and read the Count of Monte Cristo. If I want to make that kind of commitment that is.
