I Hope I’ll Understand Someday

What’s the meaning of this crazy game?

Lately I’ve been feeling kind of like I’m not really working towards anything specific in life, but if I’m honest, it’s not a new feeling for me. Since high school, I haven’t felt like I was very passionate or driven towards anything in the path that lies ahead. I thought then, and still think now, that my purpose, my true purpose, has yet to be revealed to me. But right now, the waiting is getting kind of hard. I think I could do great things, I just don’t know what they are yet.

It’s times like this I really wish I could just get a clear word from God. I think I could be brave and do what He wants me to as long as I knew for sure that I was doing the right thing. Overall though, I’m just not very brave. So far it’s suited me well enough, but I’ve probably missed out on some things along the way. It’s probably bad but I quite envy people who have such strong direction in life. Maybe I’ll have it too, someday. Right now I’m pretty interested in taking the Radiology program at SAIT though. I think that could be cool!

Life, future, work, profession, boys, family… I truly am thankful for the guidance I’ve gotten so far. So thankful! I guess any guidance can only go so far. Some questions don’t have a definite answer in all cases. Like, how much should I risk for love?

A while ago I watched the movie Crash but I haven’t posted since then, so I will say now that it is such a good movie! So good!

My trip to Europe in May of 2007 is kind of shaping up. We’re going tobook hostels soon! So exciting! Right now our itinerary is ever-changing but here is the list of cities we’ll probably hit: London, Paris, Chartres, Ilawa, Pultusk, Rome, Florence, Venice, Pescara, Edinburgh, Dublin, and Berlin. But not in that order! (The more obscure places are because Alex has family in Poland and Mark has family in Italy. And Kim is a “European mutt” art student with roots everywhere and a passion for castles! And Jen likes castles too.) So if you’ve been to Europe (in the last five years particularly), we would love to buy you coffee and sit down to discuss things like good traveling tips and the highlights of your trip.
