Going Home Tomorrow
I’ll be going home tomorrow morning, it’s a bit of a relief!
A few days ago on Monday we went on a government tour bus of the Plains of Abraham. My aunt Gina’s sister works there and got us in for free! The tour guide was dressed up as Abraham and was very funny. That night Mylène came over and made dinner for us. Everyone is a freaking gourmet chef over here!
On Tuesday we saw the chute de la Chaudière (a waterfall) with my dad’s friend Benoît from college. We went to his place afterwards. Their cat has a lion cut! It’s so funny! We ate out at ‘Cosmos’ and then returned to their house. Ben’s kids Philip and Myriam were so cool and spoke really good English, which was nice.
Today was our last day here. It was spent on a ferry crossing the St. Lawrence river, and just walking around Old Quebec again. I love the little shops, but they’re pretty expensive to buy anything in.
As a grand finale, everyone came back to Linda’s for supper (much like the first night) and said their goodbyes. Overall it’s been a good experience but I can’t wait to get back to Calgary where I can understand people again!
