I Live the Envelope

pushed far enough to believe this:
I am a princess on the way to my throne.

This Thursday was fun! I went with Katie and Kim to watch the new Narnia movie. That’s right: Kim. Such a busy girl she’s been, but now we’re going to try and make her come out and play more often. Everyone came over the next day for Jen’s birthday and we played Scribblish, like telephone with drawings. Umm… why I have I never played this before?

I was hoping to get my claws into Lyndsay and get her and possibly Brad to come over and watch Wizard People with me (it’d been over a month since I last saw or listened to it: unacceptable); no dice. But I did get Tom Rhodes over, so we had a wicked time laughing with our friends Master P and Ronnie the Bear Weasel.

Sunday was amazing. First we went for breakfast with Tom’s friends Shaun and Claire who are thoroughly cool. After that, Tom and I just pretty literally drove until we couldn’t— we came to a road closed barrier in Kananaskis so we turned around. But driving around there is gorgeous and his music is great. I’ve never done anything quite like that before. It was special.

Later, I went home to mom and dad’s to decorate our traditional Christmas sugar cookies. Happily, our stand-bys (Picasso Rudolph and Circulatory System Rudolph) made their appearance, as well as a new addition (Blunt-force Trauma Snowman, introduced by dad). Oh my gosh I love Christmas.

Last night I hung out at the Auburn with Zach and we had some awesome conversations. Then Katie came by and things only got better. And then Paul (Tall Paul) arrived and we talked all up until the start of Dirty Laundry, which was hilarious. All the while afterward, I had one worried eye on the sky… didn’t those clouds know how unwelcome they were on the night of a lunar eclipse? Yikes.

When it was just about time, Zach and I went back to my place and put the telescope out to cool off. While we were waiting we watched some Buffy the Vampire Slayer— so fun. Jeff came by right before the moon started getting red, I took some pictures, but then the clouds rolled in. It was disappointing, but at least I got to hang out with my boys some more. And watch Buffy. It’s hardly a failed night if you can watch some Buffy.
